Feeling a little stressed? Want to be pampered? Embarrassed of your nails? What better way to relax and look good than to get a manicure? Regardless of whether you go "all-out" and get French tips, Acrylic or Solar nails- there are a few things to remember when considering getting a manicure.
Make sure you know who's doing your nails! Find a good nail tech or salon by asking friends, relatives or acquaintances. Find someone who's nails you like, and ask them who did theirs. Get the name of the PERSON who did their nails as well, most nail salons have several nail technicians working for them.
Before going in, make sure your hands and nails are neat and clean. Yes, the nail technician will clean your nails and have you wash your hands- but no one wants to work on greasy, filthy hands! Speak up if the technician does something that's uncomfortable or painful. Or if he/she is using something you may be allergic to- make sure to let them know so they can use an alternative product.
All in all, getting a manicure can be a very relaxing and pampering thing to do for yourself, enjoy!
